Have you recently purchased a Cricut Maker? Isn’t that exciting!? Unpacking this beautiful machine and figuring out how to set up your Cricut Maker correctly might be a little scary.
So now I’d like to share with you some really useful advice. I’ll show you how to set up a Cricut Maker, how to install Cricut Designs Space, how to connect your Cricut Maker to your computer through Bluetooth, and how to create your first cut with your Cricut Maker!
Let’s get down to business. It’s time to take your Cricut Maker out of the box and put it to use.
How to Install a Cricut Machine
It’s quite simple to get your machine set up and ready to go (assuming you have clear instructions), so let’s get started.
1. Connect the Cricut Maker to the computer.
Connect the round end of the power cable provided in the package to the Cricut Maker machine’s rear.
The Machine’s Spacing, No. 2
Because the cricut.com/setup mats go from the front, through the machine, and out the back (back and forth), you’ll need around 10 inches of open space at the rear of the machine for the mat to move freely. So select a suitable location for it to reside.
3. Get your Cricut Maker out of the box.
The Cricut Maker may be opened by raising the lid. The front flap will automatically pull out when you lift the lid.
4. Connect the Cricut Maker to your computer or mobile device.
By connecting the USB connection included in the package into the rear of the machine and into your computer, you may connect the Cricut Maker to your computer. Let’s get rid of some cords by connecting your machine to your desktop through Bluetooth now that it’s plugged in.
How to Pair the Cricut Maker with a Bluetooth Device
You may connect your Cricut Maker to your desktop device with a USB connection, or you can set it up with Bluetooth so that you can use it in a different location than your desktop (so cord-free).
● Make sure your Cricut machine is turned on before connecting through Bluetooth. The distance between your Cricut machine and your PC must be less than 10 feet.
Users of Windows PCs (Step 2)
● Open your Windows PC’s Settings and choose Devices from the drop-down menu.
● Make sure Bluetooth is turned on and that your computer is selected.
Step 2: Users of Macs
● Select Bluetooth in System Preferences on your Mac.
● When your machine is turned on, it should show, and you may click Connect.
● If Cricut asks for a pin, enter 0000 and press enter.
● Connect is the option to choose.
